Tips

  • Choose ripe figs: Look for figs that are plump, soft, and have a slight give when you press them gently.
  • Handle figs with care: Figs are delicate, so handle them gently to avoid bruising.
  • Wash figs just before eating or using: Do not wash them too early, as this can cause them to lose their flavor.
  • Store figs properly: Fresh figs can be stored in a single layer in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. You can also freeze figs for up to 6 months.
  • Use figs in a variety of dishes: Figs can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. They can be eaten fresh, dried, or cooked.

Figs are a delicious and versatile fruit that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Try incorporating them into your meals and snacks to add a touch of sweetness and sophistication. With their unique flavor and texture, figs are sure to please everyone at your table.
