SWEET CINNAMON BISCUITS

Sweet Cinnamon Biscuits image

This is a wonderful treat for the kids on a winter morning when you want cinnamon rolls but don't want to take the time to make them with yeast dough. Very tasty and tender. I didn't try them with the milk but I sure like them plain. I got this recipe from Grandma's Kitchen treasured desserts cards. I hope you like them as much as my family does.

Tips for Making Sweet Milk Biscuits:

  • Use Cold Butter: Cold butter helps create flaky layers in the biscuits. Keep butter cold until you're ready to use it, and grate it with a box grater for even distribution.
  • Don't Overwork the Dough: Overworking the dough will result in tough biscuits. Mix just until the dough comes together.
  • Chill the Dough Before Baking: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes helps develop the flavor and makes the biscuits easier to handle.
  • Bake the Biscuits in a Hot Oven: A hot oven helps create a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior.
  • Brush with Butter: Brushing the tops of the biscuits with melted butter before baking gives them a golden brown color and helps them stay moist.

Conclusion:

Sweet milk biscuits are a delicious and versatile treat that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They're easy to make and can be customized with different flavors and toppings. With these tips, you can create perfect sweet milk biscuits every time. So preheat your oven, gather your ingredients, and let's get baking!
