Tips:

  • Choose fresh, high-quality salmon. Look for salmon that is firm and has a vibrant color. Avoid salmon that is slimy or has an off odor.
  • Use a food-safe thermometer to ensure that the salmon is cooked to the proper temperature. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit (63 degrees Celsius) before it is considered safe to eat.
  • Do not overcook the salmon. Overcooked salmon will be dry and tough. Aim to cook the salmon until it is just cooked through.
  • Use a flavorful glaze to enhance the taste of the salmon. The glaze in this recipe is made with brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, and ginger. You can also use other glazes, such as a teriyaki glaze or a lemon-herb glaze.
  • Serve the salmon with your favorite sides. Some popular sides for salmon include rice, roasted vegetables, and salad.
