Tips:
- Use a variety of sweet potatoes. Different types of sweet potatoes will give your chili a different flavor and texture. For a sweeter chili, use orange or yellow sweet potatoes. For a more earthy flavor, use purple or black sweet potatoes.
- Roast the sweet potatoes before adding them to the chili. Roasting the sweet potatoes will help them to caramelize and develop a richer flavor.
- Use a good quality chili powder. The chili powder is one of the most important ingredients in the chili, so make sure to use a good quality one. Look for a chili powder that is made with a variety of chili peppers and has a deep, rich flavor.
- Don't be afraid to add other vegetables to the chili. Chopped onions, bell peppers, and corn are all great additions to sweet potato chili. You can also add in a can of black beans or kidney beans for a boost of protein.
- Serve the chili with your favorite toppings. Shredded cheese, sour cream, and guacamole are all classic chili toppings. You can also serve the chili with cornbread or a side of rice.
Conclusion:
Sweet potato chili is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover sweet potatoes.
