Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use ripe, flavorful tomatoes. You can also use a variety of colors of tomatoes to create a more visually appealing dish.
  • If you don't have fresh herbs on hand, you can use dried herbs instead. Just use about half the amount of dried herbs as you would fresh.
  • If you're using a baking dish that's not non-stick, lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray to prevent the tomatoes from sticking.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking dish. You want the tomatoes to have enough room to cook evenly.
  • Bake the tomatoes until they are tender and slightly browned. The cooking time will vary depending on the size and type of tomatoes you're using.
  • Serve the tomatoes immediately or let them cool slightly before serving. They're delicious either way!

Conclusion:

Swiss Baked Tomatoes in Cream is a simple but flavorful dish that's perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like your tomatoes sweet, savory, or somewhere in between, you're sure to find a variation of this recipe that you'll love.
