Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh masa harina. If you can't find it, you can make your own by grinding dried corn kernels in a food processor.
  • Soak the corn husks in warm water for at least 30 minutes before using them. This will make them pliable and easy to work with.
  • Spread the masa mixture evenly over the corn husks. Don't make it too thick, or the tamales will be difficult to fold.
  • Place the tamales in a steamer basket and steam them for 1-2 hours, or until the masa is cooked through.
  • Serve the tamales hot with your favorite toppings, such as salsa, cheese, and sour cream.

Conclusion:

Tamale bake is a delicious and versatile dish that can be made with a variety of fillings. It's a great way to use up leftover meat or vegetables, and it's also a perfect meal for a party or potluck. With a little planning and effort, you can make tamale bake that your family and friends will love.
