Categories     Other Desserts

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 c milk
2 Tbsp margarine
1 c peanut butter
8 oz hershey chocolate bar

Steps:

  • 1. Beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla until creamy. Add flour and baking powder. Scald milk and margarine. Then add to flour mixture. Mix until well blended. Pour into a well greased and floured 11" x 15" pan. Bake @ 350 for 20-25 min. Remove from oven and immediately spread peanut butter on top. Refrigerate until cooled. Melt chocolate bar and spread on top.

Tips:

  • Use room temperature ingredients. This will help your cake batter mix more evenly and bake more consistently.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will incorporate air into the batter, making your cake lighter and airier.
  • Gradually add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. This will help prevent the batter from curdling.
  • Sift the flour before measuring it. This will help prevent lumps in your batter.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can make your cake tough.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help prevent the cake from sinking in the middle.
  • Cool the cake completely before frosting it. This will help prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

Tandy cake is a delicious and versatile dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
