GRILLED THAI CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Using a sharp chef's knife, cut the chicken wings: Place the wing on a cutting board, so the inside is facing you. Stretch out the wing and make a cut between the wingette and the wingtip, and another cut at the joint between the drumette and the wingette. Discard the wingtips (or reserve them to make stock ).
- In a medium bowl, combine all of the other ingredients. Mix well.
- Place the wings in a plastic zipper bag. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting and pour the remainder over the wings. Seal the bag and mix the contents well. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the grill for medium heat (about 350 F). Remove the wings from the bag.
- Place the wings on the grill. Baste liberally with the reserved marinade. Cook for 20 minutes, turn and coat with marinade again. Cook for another 20 to 30 minutes, until the juices run clear and the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 F. Discard any remaining marinade.
- Garnish with chopped scallion greens. Serve and enjoy.

THAI BBQ CHICKEN WINGS
A recipe I found on About.com for Thai recipes that I am posting for ZWT. Here is what is stated about the recipe: "This chicken wings recipe is very easy to make, and the taste is superb. Even your kids will go crazy for these chicken wings, which turn out naturally glazed with a garlicky and slightly sweet sauce. Barbecue them outdoors, or bake them in your oven - either way, they turn out fabulous. Chicken wings are always a popular choice for dinner, whether during the week or on long, hot summer weekends. Enjoy!"

Steps:
- Mix all 'Marinade' ingredients together in a small bowl. Stir well to dissolve sugar.
- Place wings in a large bowl and pour sauce over. Stir well to coat chicken with sauce. Allow wings to marinate 10 minutes or longer while you heat up the grill (up to 24 hours).
- Grill the wings, basting them once each side with some of the leftover marinade from the bottom of the bowl. OR cook them in your oven (see next instructions).
- To Cook Wings Indoors: Place wings in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Then turn oven to "Broil" setting. Transfer wings to baking sheet and place wings on one of the higher racks in your oven. Watch the wings carefully, as they can easily burn. Turn them every 5 minutes for 15-20 minutes, or until glossy and browned. Baste them once with leftover marinade from the bottom of the bowl.
- Serve the wings as is, or with rice on the side. ENJOY!

This yummy honey barbeque sauce is great on chicken wings, pork, or short ribs. The soy sauce and oyster sauce hint at an Asian inspiration, while the gin gives it an undeterminable edge.

Steps:
- Dipping sauce:
- Grind chiles in spice mill to a fine powder. Mix chile powder, fish sauce, lime juice, sesame seeds, and sugar in a medium bowl to dissolve sugar. Adjust with more sugar or lime juice if needed.
- Wings and assembly:
- Prepare grill for medium-high heat. Combine oyster and soy sauces, sugar, oil, and pepper in a large bowl. Add wings; toss to coat. Let sit 20-30 minutes (if allowed to marinate longer, they'll be too salty). Thread 2 flat pieces onto each skewer on a diagonal, spacing about 1/2" apart. Grill along with drumettes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred and cooked through, 6-8 minutes. Serve with dipping sauce.
Tips:
- Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the chicken wings their amazing flavor, so don't skimp on the ingredients. Use a combination of soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, and chili peppers to create a marinade that is both savory and spicy.
- Let the chicken wings marinate for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the flavors of the marinade to penetrate the chicken and make them even more delicious.
- Cook the chicken wings over high heat: This will help to create a crispy outer layer and juicy interior.
- Baste the chicken wings with the marinade while they are cooking: This will help to keep them moist and prevent them from drying out.
- Serve the chicken wings with a dipping sauce: A sweet and sour sauce or a spicy chili sauce are both great options.
Conclusion:
Thai BBQ chicken wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you are looking for a new and exciting way to cook chicken wings, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
