2 cups (400g) packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups (242g) all purpose flour

  • Spread in prepared pan. The mixture is wet so it's best to spray your hands with cooking spray and then smooth the dough with your hands to get an even layer. Top with remaining mix-ins
  • Bake for about 22-25 minutes until they start to turn golden. Err on the side of under baked with these - they'll finish baking as the cool and you don't want them over baked.

THE BEST BLONDIES!

The Best Blondies! image

I got this out of a magazine and changed it around a bit to make it better. Most blondies use melted butterscotch chips but instead you create an authentic rich butterscotch flavor by boiling butter and brown sugar together. These go great with some vanilla ice cream! Most people don't know what a blondie is so I tell them it's like if a cookie and a brownie made a baby haha.

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter

Tips:

  • Use room temperature ingredients. This will help the blondies mix together more easily and will result in a more even bake.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the blondies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the blondies in a preheated oven. This will help them rise evenly.
  • Don't overbake the blondies. Overbaking can make them dry and crumbly. Bake them just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the blondies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them hold their shape and will make them easier to cut.
  • Store the blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the blondies for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

Blondies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of blondies that will disappear in no time. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give blondies a try. You won't be disappointed!
