This is an excellent mixed fruit with a little kick, which is frozen in individual cups. I served it as a frozen fruit salad but have had it served to me as a refreshing afternoon snack. It would also make an excellent light dessert. I received this recipe from Janet Carswell.

Tips:

  • Use frozen fruit. Frozen fruit is the key to a slushy's icy texture. If you don't have frozen fruit, you can freeze fresh fruit yourself. Simply wash and cut the fruit, then spread it out on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  • Add some liquid. You'll need some liquid to help the slushy blend. Water, juice, or milk are all good options. You can also use a combination of liquids, such as water and juice or milk and yogurt.
  • Sweeten to taste. If you like your slushies sweet, you can add some sugar, honey, or agave nectar. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Add some flavorings. You can add some flavorings to your slushy to make it even more delicious. Some popular options include vanilla extract, almond extract, or mint extract. You can also add some spices, such as cinnamon or nutmeg.
  • Blend until smooth. Once you've added all of your ingredients, blend the slushy until it's smooth. You may need to stop and stir the slushy a few times during blending.
  • Serve immediately. Slushies are best served immediately after they're made. If you need to store a slushy, you can put it in the freezer. Just be sure to thaw it out before serving.

Conclusion:

Fruit slushies are a delicious and refreshing way to cool down on a hot day. They're also a great way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. With so many different variations to choose from, there's sure to be a fruit slushy that everyone will enjoy.
