Time 4h20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/3 c caramel ice cream topping
1 1/2 c milk
1 pkg (4-serving size) vanilla instant pudding
1 (8 oz.) ctn cool whip, thawed
1/2 pkg mini heath bars, chopped
1 graham cracker crust

Steps:

  • 1. Spread caramel topping on the bottom of the crust.
  • 2. Pour milk into a large bowl. Add pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.
  • 3. Stir in Cool Whip and chopped toffee bars. Spoon into crust.
  • 4. Freeze 4 hours or until set.
  • 5. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Garnish with mini toffee bars. Store leftover pie in freezer.

Tips:

  • For a classic toffee flavor, use dark brown sugar. For a lighter, more buttery flavor, use light brown sugar.
  • Do not overmix the crust ingredients. Overmixing will make the crust tough.
  • Press the crust firmly into the pie plate. This will help prevent the crust from shrinking.
  • Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes, or until it is golden brown.
  • Let the crust cool completely before filling it.
  • For the filling, use a heavy saucepan. This will help prevent the sugar from burning.
  • Stir the sugar mixture constantly. This will help prevent the sugar from crystallizing.
  • Once the sugar mixture has reached the desired color, remove it from the heat and stir in the butter.
  • Let the toffee mixture cool slightly before pouring it into the pie crust.
  • For the topping, use a combination of chopped nuts and chocolate chips. You can also use other toppings, such as crushed candy bars or pretzels.
  • Bake the pie for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving.

Conclusion:

Toffee Bar Crunch Pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich toffee filling and crunchy topping, this pie is sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a special treat, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
