Tips:

  • Choose the right turkey: Look for ground turkey that is at least 93% lean. This will help to reduce the amount of fat and calories in your burritos.
  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your burritos will taste. This includes the turkey, vegetables, and salsa.
  • Don't overcook the turkey: Overcooked turkey is dry and tough. Cook it until it is just cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor and texture to your burritos. Some good options include bell peppers, onions, corn, and black beans.
  • Make your own salsa: This is a great way to control the ingredients and the spiciness. There are many easy recipes online for fresh fruit salsa.
  • Assemble the burritos carefully: Make sure that the ingredients are evenly distributed and that the burrito is tightly wrapped. This will help to prevent the burrito from falling apart.

Conclusion:

Turkey burritos with fresh fruit salsa are a delicious and healthy meal that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are also a great way to use up leftover turkey. With a little planning, you can easily make these burritos ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator or freezer. This makes them a perfect option for busy families.
