SIMPLE TURTLES® PUMPKIN PIE

Simple Turtles® Pumpkin Pie image

This is a very simple and delicious recipe. The combination of caramel, pecans, pumpkin, and a graham cracker crust brings the flavors together. Taste-wise I prefer to make a homemade crust, but a pre-made graham cracker crust can be substituted to reduce prep time. It is a staple in our family around the holidays and has won several cooking contests. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Tips:

  • Make sure the oven is preheated before baking the pie. This will help ensure that the crust is cooked through and the filling is set.
  • Use a deep-dish pie plate. This will prevent the filling from bubbling over.
  • If you don't have a deep-dish pie plate, you can use a regular pie plate and just trim the edges of the crust.
  • Be careful not to overmix the filling. Overmixing will make the filling tough.
  • Use fresh pumpkin puree for the best flavor. Canned pumpkin puree can also be used, but it may not be as flavorful.
  • Top the pie with whipped cream or ice cream before serving. This will add a delicious and creamy touch.

Conclusion:

Kraft's turtle pumpkin pie is a delicious and festive dessert that is perfect for the holiday season. The creamy pumpkin filling is rich and flavorful, and the pecans and caramel sauce add a touch of sweetness and crunch. The pie is easy to make, and it can be made ahead of time, which makes it a great option for busy hosts.
