Time 32m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups Flour
1 cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Butter
½ cup Brown Sugar
⅔ cup Butter Softened and at Room Temperature
1 cup Chopped Pecan Pieces
1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips

Steps:

  • First, start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, in a medium bowl, blend the flour, brown sugar, and the 1⁄2 cup of butter until fine crumbs form. You can use a pastry blender or a fork to blend these ingredients together.
  • Once thoroughly combined, press this crumb mixture into the bottom of an ungreased nine by thirteen baking pan.
  • Take your pecans and sprinkle them onto the crust.
  • Set this pan aside and in a small saucepan, combine your brown sugar and your butter. Cook this mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly to make sure the bottom does not burn. Do this until the ingredients melt together thoroughly and it comes to a boil. Allow the mixture to boil for about a minute before removing the pan from the heat.
  • Then, pour this caramel mixture over the pecans and crust.
  • Place the pan in the oven to bake for 18-22 minutes or until the caramel begins to bubble. Take the pan out once the mixture is fully cooked and sprinkle chocolate chips into the caramel layer.
  • Set the pan aside for about 5 minutes to allow the chocolate chips to get soft.
  • Then, using a knife or fork, swirl the melting chips into the caramel, creating a marble effect. Allow it to cool completely and set.
  • Finally, cut it into bars for easy serving.
