1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pecans or 1 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • With a mixer, cream the butter; add brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, salt and cinnamon.
  • Blend into the butter mixture.

1 cup crushed sugar-frosted corn flake cereal
