Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 c butter, room temperature
1/2 c cocoa powder
1 1/2 c sugar
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 c whiskey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Cream butter, sugar and cocoa powder. On a low speed add 1 egg at a time, add vanilla. Mix in the whiskey, add in the flour, baking soda and salt until all are combined.
  • 2. Form into 1 tbs sized balls, and place 2" apart on a baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. Cool on a rack. Share and Enjoy!!

Tips:

  • Choose the right whiskey: Use a whiskey that you enjoy drinking. A good quality whiskey will make a better cookie.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The cookies should be baked at a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). If the oven is too hot, the cookies will brown too quickly and the centers will be underbaked.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before serving: The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool. If you serve them too soon, they will be soft and crumbly.

Conclusion:

Whiskey cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. They are perfect for any occasion. With a few simple tips, you can make whiskey cookies that are sure to impress your friends and family. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give whiskey cookies a try!
