WHISKY ORANGES WITH HONEY CREAM
This is such a light, easy recipe and perfect for a dinner party. It looks gorgeous in a glass serving bowl. Best prepared several days in advance, so that the oranges absorb the flavour of the syrup. Prepare the honey cream the day of serving. Cooking time does not include refrigeration. - Remove from heat to cool, and add whisky.

- Refrigerate covered until serving time.
HONEY AND WHISKEY ICE CREAM
This was a winning entry from the UK's "Masterchef" television programme in 1995. You don't need an ice cream maker and can use any liquid honey. I use Spanish orange blossom but the original used bell heather.

Tips:
- Use good quality oranges. Organic oranges are best as they have a thinner skin and are less likely to be bitter.
- Make sure the oranges are ripe. Ripe oranges will have a deep orange color and be slightly soft to the touch.
- Zest the oranges before slicing them. This will release the citrus oils and add flavor to the dish.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the oranges. This will help to prevent the oranges from tearing.
- Slice the oranges thinly. This will help them to cook evenly.
- Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the oranges. This will help them to cook evenly and prevent them from sticking to each other.
- Cook the oranges over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from burning.
- Stir the oranges occasionally while they are cooking. This will help to prevent them from sticking to the pan.
- Cook the oranges until they are tender and slightly caramelized. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve the oranges warm or at room temperature. They can be served as a side dish or as a dessert.
Conclusion:
Whisky oranges with honey cream are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert. They are perfect for a special occasion or a simple weeknight meal. The oranges are cooked in a sweet and tangy whisky sauce and then topped with a dollop of honey cream. The result is a dish that is both flavorful and decadent.
