Tips:

  • Fresh herbs: Use fresh herbs like basil, oregano, or thyme to elevate the flavor of the ravioli and balsamic glaze.
  • Cheese selection: Experiment with different types of cheese, such as Parmesan, ricotta, or mozzarella, to create a unique and flavorful filling.
  • Homemade pasta dough: If you have the time and skills, making your own pasta dough from scratch can add an extra level of authenticity and freshness to the ravioli.
  • Brown butter: Be careful not to overcook the brown butter, as it can quickly burn and become bitter. Watch it closely and remove it from the heat as soon as it reaches a golden brown color.
  • Ravioli cooking: To prevent the ravioli from sticking together, make sure to add a generous amount of salt to the boiling water and stir gently while cooking.
  • Balsamic glaze: Reduce balsamic vinegar over low heat until it thickens and becomes syrupy. This creates a rich and flavorful glaze that perfectly complements the ravioli.
