White fruit cake, also known as light fruit cake, is a traditional British cake that is often served during the Christmas season. It is similar to traditional fruit cake, but it has a lighter texture and color due to the use of white or golden raisins, and a higher proportion of flour to fruit. White fruit cake can be made with a variety of different dried fruits, nuts, and spices, and can be flavored with citrus zest, vanilla, or almond extract. It is typically baked in a round or square cake pan and frosted with a simple glaze or icing.
