Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure all of your ingredients are prepped and measured out. This will help you save time and ensure that your stir-fry is cooked evenly.
  • Use a Wok: A wok is the ideal cookware for stir-fries, as it allows for even heat distribution and quick cooking times.
  • Heat Your Wok Properly: Preheat your wok over high heat until it is very hot. This will help to sear the ingredients and prevent them from sticking.
  • Use a Small Amount of Oil: Stir-fries are typically cooked with a small amount of oil, just enough to coat the bottom of the wok. This will help to prevent the ingredients from becoming greasy.
  • Stir Constantly: Stir-fries are cooked quickly, so it is important to stir constantly to prevent the ingredients from burning.
  • Add Ingredients in the Correct Order: Vegetables that take longer to cook, such as carrots and broccoli, should be added to the wok first. Meat and seafood should be added last, as they cook quickly.
  • Use a Sauce: Stir-fries are often served with a sauce, such as soy sauce, oyster sauce, or teriyaki sauce. This will help to add flavor and moisture to the dish.
