Bourbon Manhattan - a Classic Cocktail image

This is the cocktail for all of you who aren't martini drinkers. The addition of just a little cherry juice makes for a very smooth drink.

Meh.

This recipe is a mess. The instructions are unclear and the measurements are all wrong. I ended up with a drink that was undrinkable.

Not bad for a first attempt. The drink was a little too strong for my taste, but I think that's because I used a higher proof bourbon than the recipe called for. Next time I'll use a lower proof bourbon and see how that turns out.

This was my first time making a Manhattan and it turned out great! I was surprised at how easy it was to make. I will definitely be making this again.

I've tried many Manhattan recipes over the years, but this one is by far the best. The secret is in the ratio of bourbon to vermouth. This recipe gets it just right.

This Manhattan recipe is a keeper! The combination of bourbon, sweet vermouth, and bitters is perfectly balanced and flavorful. I love the hint of orange peel in the garnish. It really elevates the drink.
