Bourbon Raisin Sauce image

It goes really well with Holiday Ham, I was looking for a raisin sauce for easter ham and didn't like the recipes I found so I made this one up and everyone liked it.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup raisins
1/4 cup jack daniel's tennessee sour mash whiskey
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 1/4 cups water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.
  • over medium heat whisk until butter melts and sauce thickens about 5 minutes.
