Butterscotch Date Cookies image

Butterscotch has always been my favorite flavor, so when I found this recipe, loaded with butterscotch plus dates, it was a winner. The warm golden tones and crispy crust make it a very nice cookie for autumn.

I'm not a big fan of dates, but these cookies are still pretty good. The butterscotch chips help to balance out the sweetness of the dates.

These cookies are not as chewy as I expected them to be. I think I overcooked them a bit.

I had some trouble getting the cookies to spread out in the oven. I think I needed to flatten them out more before baking.

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste, but they're still good.

These cookies are a great way to use up leftover dates. They're also a nice change from the usual chocolate chip cookie.
