Cheesy Tator Tot Casserole image

This is a very tasty, easy casserole and a favorite at our house! My daughters always ask me to makke this for their "birthday dinner"

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 can(s) cheddar cheese soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1 c sour cream
8 oz shredded cheese(any kind youd like)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 pkg frozen tator tots or potato crowns

Steps:

  • 1. Cook ground beef until no longer pink, drain. Add soups, sour cream, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, and 4 oz of the cheese. Mix well until all is combined. Pour meat mixture nto a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Top with remainder of shredded cheese, then layer tots until all of the casserole is covered. Sprinkle tots with 1/2 tsp of salt if desired. bake in a 375 degree oven until tots are golden brown and crispy. I love serving this alongside green beans and dinner rolls
