Steps:
- Preheat ove to 300 F. 1. Drain cherry juice into measuring cup, and add milk to bring liquid to 1 cup. Slice cherries and chop walnuts. 2. Sift flour, take out 1/2 cup to flour cherries and nuts. Mix remaining flour with baking powder and salt. 3. Beat egg, add sugar and beat until blended, stir in butter. Add dry ingredients to this alternately with milk. Fold in fruit and nuts. 4. Place in gresed loaf pan, and bake for 1 1/4 hours or until well done. Remove from pan after 10 minutes.
