I saw these on Facebook this evening and liked the recipe so much, I wanted to share it with all of you. From my own point of view, a teaspoon of salt as part of the bar ingredients sounds excessive. I think I would add no more than a half-teaspoon, but it's totally up to you.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- 2. With a hand-held mixer or the wire whisk of yoru stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
- 3. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- 4. Slowly add the flour and salt; mix well.
- 5. Spread approximately three cups of the batter in a greased 9x13 pan (use a bigger pan if you wants the bars to be thinner).
- 6. Spread the pie filling over the batter.
- 7. Drop tablespoons of batter randomly over the pie filling.
- 8. Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
