I have not had this in years. It was a popular recipe in the mid 1970's, when I was such a young child (?). I found the recipe in a Better Homes and Gardens recipe booklet. It is a very hearty meal, definitely comfort food!!! It makes me wish for cold weather. Prep time includes simmering method for beans. I hope you enjoy!!!!

The chicken cassoulet was a bit too salty for my taste. I think I'll reduce the amount of salt next time I make it.

This recipe is too complicated and time-consuming. I don't have the patience to cook something like this.

This was my first time making cassoulet and it turned out great! I followed the recipe closely and it was easy to follow. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the beans were creamy and flavorful. I will definitely be making this again.

I tried this recipe last night and it was a hit! The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful. I served it over mashed potatoes and it was the perfect comfort food for a cold night.
