Chocolate Layer Dessert image

I love this dessert. It is cold and creamy and crunchy and chocolatey.

Number Of Ingredients 15

CRUST INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 stick butter, softened
2 Tbsp sugar
3/4 c chopped pecans
FIRST LAYER
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 c powdered sugar
1 c whipped topping
SECOND LAYER
1 small box instant vanilla pudding, prepared
THIRD LAYER
1 small box instant chocolate pudding, prepared
FOURTH LAYER
1 pkg whipped topping

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Mix together crust ingredients. Press into 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes. Don't let it brown. Cool.
  • 2. Beat ingredients for first layer. Spread over cooled crust. Let set up a little in the fridge.
  • 3. Prepare the vanilla pudding. Spread over first layer being careful not to combine the layers.
  • 4. Prepare the chocolate pudding. Spread over second layer being careful not to combine the layers.
  • 5. Spread whipped topping over third layer being careful not to combine the layers.
  • 6. Put dessert into fridge and let chill completely. Sprinkle top with grated chocolate bar if desired.
