Cinnamon Apple Waffles image

From Darlene Kossman. Has grated apple in the batter. It only makes 4 waffles so double the recipe; really good.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup apple, peeled, grated

Steps:

  • Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, and sugar together.
  • Separate eggs.
  • Beat egg yolks.
  • Add milk and melted butter.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Add apples.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter.
  • Bake until done.
