Coca Cola Sloppy Joes image

When we were kids, we always called these yip yips. I guess that is a Midwestern thing. I've been looking for a sloppy joe recipe that tasted like my mom's for years (she always just threw it together and I could never get the taste) and finally found it. Since we're Pepsi lovers, I substituted it for the Coca Cola.

These sloppy joes are so easy to make and they're always a hit with my family. I love that I can make them ahead of time and just reheat them when I'm ready to serve.

These sloppy joes are a great way to use up leftover ground beef. I also like to add some chopped vegetables to them, like carrots and celery.

I'm not a big fan of Coca-Cola, but I actually really liked these sloppy joes. The sweetness of the Coca-Cola is balanced out by the other ingredients, and the overall flavor is really delicious.

I added some chopped green bell pepper and onion to my sloppy joes and they were delicious! I also used a spicy brown mustard instead of the regular yellow mustard. Yum!

These sloppy joes were a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll reduce the amount of Coca-Cola next time.
