Cocoa Drop Cookies image

These are Grandpa Mohler's favorite cookie.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 egg
3/4 c sour milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c cocoa

Steps:

  • 1. Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, egg, sour milk, and vanilla
  • 2. Sift together flour, soda, salt, and cocoa
  • 3. Combine wet and dry ingredients
  • 4. Chill at least one hour
  • 5. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet
  • 6. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350 degrees
