Company Style Green Beans image

I use home grown green beans, but canned ones will do. Everyone loves these, a little sweet and salty and spicy all together.

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 slice bacon fried and crumbled (save the grease)
1 medium onion chopped
1 mess green beans, or 2 cans
1 pinch salt
3-4 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp red pepper

Steps:

  • 1. In a skillet add onions to bacon grease and saute. Add beans, salt, red pepper, brown sugar. Turn fire to low/medium and cook covered 45 minutes to 1 hour. Before serving crumble bacon over beans.
