Cranberry Salad image

Never was a fan of cranberries until a couple of years ago. But now I seem to like them especially around the holidays. I made this one Thanksgiving for my mother who is a fan of cranberries. My sister and I take turns each year alternating Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now whichever holiday I get to cook that year my mom...

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 small boxes of cranberry jello (3.4 oz.) - i have used strawberry
2 c boiling water
1 can(s) crushed pineapple (20 oz.) do not drain
1 can(s) whole berry cranberries (14 oz.)
1/2 c chopped celery
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
1 chopped apple leave skin on

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the jello with hot water until dissolved.
  • 2. Add all other ingredients together, mix well and allow to set. Approx. 6 hours.
  • 3. You can pour into a decorative mold pan or bundt pan for presentation. Garnish with greens, fresh cranberries or sprigs of mint.
