Cream Cheese Squares image

Grandma Ferrante's Recipe

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c margarine softened
1 c bisquick baking mix
1/2 c chopped nuts
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 c sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon rind, grated
1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Beat margarine and sugar til fluffy. Add bisquick and nuts. Spread half of the mixture in buttered 9x9 baking dish. Bake 12 min @ 350 degrees
  • 2. Beat cream cheese and remaining ingredients. Spread over baked crust. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake another 25 min. Cool and cut into squares. Refrigerate leftovers.
