I've made this recipe with both beef and venison. I prefer the venison, but both are delicious.

I used a pre-made BBQ sauce and the dish turned out too sweet for my taste. I think I would prefer to make my own BBQ sauce next time.

I cooked this dish in my slow cooker for 6 hours and the beef was still a little tough. I think I should have cooked it for longer.

I'm not a big fan of BBQ sauce, so I used a teriyaki sauce instead. It turned out great! The beef was still very tender and flavorful, but the teriyaki sauce gave it a nice Asian twist.

I used venison instead of beef and it turned out great. The meat was a little leaner than beef, but it was still very tender and flavorful.
