Time 3h10m

Yield 1 1/2 pound loaf, 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 cup water
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons margarine or 2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 cups bread flour
1 1/4 whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon clove
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Measure and add liquid ingredients to the bread pan.
  • Measure and add dry ingredients (except yeast) to the bread pan.
  • Use your finger to form a well (hole) in the flour where you will pour the yeast. Yeast must never come into contact with a liquid when you are adding ingredients. Add yeast to well.
  • If possible, use the 'sweet' setting on your breadmaker.
  • Raisins and walnuts should be added during the kneading cycle. Some breadmakers will beep to tell you when.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my bread turned out really dense. I'm going to try again with a different recipe.

This bread is not worth the effort. It's not very flavorful and it's not very moist. I would not recommend this recipe.

This bread is a bit dry. I think I will try adding some more butter or oil next time.

I had some trouble getting the bread to rise properly. I think I may have added too much flour. Other than that, the bread was delicious.

This bread is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it's still very good. I would recommend using less sugar if you don't like your bread too sweet.

I'm not a big fan of raisins, but I really enjoyed this bread. The raisins were not overpowering and they added a nice sweetness to the bread.

This is the best raisin bread recipe I've ever used! The bread was fluffy and moist, with just the right amount of sweetness. The raisins were plump and juicy, and they added a lovely flavor to the bread. I will definitely be making this bread again
