Easter Sugar Cookies image

Cream cheese contributes to the rich taste of these melt-in-your-mouth Easter sugar cookies. They have such nice flavor, you can skip the frosting and sprinkle them with colored sugar for a change. -Julie Brunette, Green Bay, Wisconsin

I'm allergic to nuts, so I'm not sure if I can make these cookies. Is there a way to substitute the almond extract?

I'm not really a fan of sugar cookies, but these look so good that I might have to give them a try.

I had some trouble getting the cookies to spread in the oven. I think I might have needed to chill the dough for longer.

I've tried many sugar cookie recipes, but this one is definitely my favorite. The cookies are soft and chewy, with just the right amount of sweetness.
