Easy Apple Crumb Pie image

Simple and Good-made with ingredients you have on hand. Use a store bought pie shell, and the crumb topping makes it even easier. Perfect for company too, served with vanilla ice cream.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 9 inch unbaked pie shell
7 medium granny smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced 1/4 inch
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/3 cup butter, sliced

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Fill the unbaked crust with apples.
  • 2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle on top of apples slices in pie shell.
  • 3. Cut butter into the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and flour, which have been mixed together until coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake 40-45 minutes, or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
