Number Of Ingredients 13

1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon meat seasoning, or to taste
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 pinch herbes de Provence, or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
4 eggs
½ cup skim milk
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 ¼ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 pastry for a 9-inch deep dish pie crust

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion until tender and browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Add ground beef and season with meat seasoning, garlic powder, herbes de Provence, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbly, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat from skillet.
  • Beat eggs together in a bowl. Whisk in milk, mayonnaise, and flour; sprinkle with salt. Stir in beef mixture and 1 cup of Cheddar cheese. Pour into the pie shell.
  • Bake in preheated oven until a knife inserted into the center of quiche comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of the quiche. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before cutting.

This quiche is a great way to use up leftover cheeseburger meat. It's also a great make-ahead meal for busy weeknights.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my quiche didn't turn out well at all. The crust was too thick and the filling was runny. I'll have to try again another time.

This quiche was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I think I'll stick to my usual quiche recipe next time.

I made a few changes to this recipe and it turned out great! I used a pre-made pie crust and added some chopped spinach to the filling. It was a delicious and easy weeknight meal.

This quiche was a total disappointment. The crust was soggy and the filling was bland. I won't be making this recipe again.

This quiche was a little too rich for my taste, but it was still good. I think I'll try making it with a different type of cheese next time.

I'm not a huge fan of quiche, but this one was actually really good. The cheese and meat flavors were well-balanced and the crust was nice and flaky.
