Number Of Ingredients 11

2 egg whites
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
4 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
.

Steps:

  • Directions In a clean glass or metal bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer until they can hold a stiff peak. Set aside. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, sugar, egg yolks, melted butter and buttermilk at one time and beat until smooth. Gently fold in the egg whites last. Put about 1tablespoon of vegetable oil in the bottom of each aebleskiver pan cup and heat until hot. Pour in about 2 tablespoons of the batter into each cup. As soon as they get bubbly around the edge, turn them quickly (Danish cooks use a long knitting needle, but a fork will work). Continue cooking, turning the ball to keep it from burning

These were a lot of fun to make and they tasted great! I used a variety of fillings, including Nutella, peanut butter, and jam. I also topped them with whipped cream and fresh berries. They were a huge hit with my family and friends.

These were so easy to make and they turned out perfectly! I used a regular pan and they cooked evenly without sticking. I served them with butter and syrup and they were delicious. I'll definitely be making these again!

I've made these several times now and they're always a hit. I like to add a little bit of lemon zest to the batter for a brighter flavor. They're also great with fresh berries and whipped cream.

I made these for breakfast this morning and they were a hit! The kids loved them and even my picky husband went back for seconds. I'll definitely be making these again.

These were good, but not great. The pancakes were a little dense and the flavor was bland. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

I've been making these for years and they're always a crowd-pleaser. The key is to not overmix the batter, otherwise the pancakes will be tough. I also like to add a little vanilla extract for extra flavor.

These were a huge hit with my family! I added a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter for an extra kick of flavor. The kids loved them with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
