A fast, easy, and cheap French cake. It keeps a week, and is better when a little old. If I want to dress it up, I serve it with creme anglaise or whipped cream. Recipe originally from one of my adult students, Yves.

This cake was just okay. It wasn't as moist as I would have liked, and the chocolate flavor was a bit too overpowering for my taste.

I'm not a big fan of chocolate and pear together, but I decided to try this recipe anyway. I was pleasantly surprised! The cake was very moist and flavorful, and the chocolate and pear flavors were actually quite nice together.

I found this cake to be a bit dry. I think I would add more butter or oil to the batter next time. The flavor was good, but the texture was just a bit off.

This cake was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still very good. The chocolate and pear flavors were well-balanced and the cake was moist and fluffy. I would recommend using a less sweet chocolate or adding less sugar to the batter.
