French's Crunchy Onion Chicken image

I'm usually not one to use recipes found on cans or packages. However, this one sounded easy and used items I had on hand. The recipe was found on the back of a French's French Fried Onions (original) package. The chicken breasts were moist and very good. I did add pepper to mine that wasn't called for in the original...

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 2.8 oz can if french's original french fried onions- crushed
2 Tbsp flour
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 egg- beaten
pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Empty fried onions into a gallon ziplock bag. Crush onions in bag.
  • 2. Add flour to the onions.
  • 3. Beat egg in a separate bowl.
  • 4. Dip chicken into egg mixture. Then drop into onion ziplock bag.
  • 5. Press onion mixture firmly onto chicken.
  • 6. Lightly grease a casserole dish. Put chicken into casserole dish. Add pepper to taste.
  • 7. Bake in 400 degree oven for twenty minutes until no longer pink in the center.
