I'm allergic to nuts, so I substituted chopped walnuts for the pecans in the frosting. It was still delicious!

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my cake didn't turn out right. It was dry and crumbly, and the frosting was grainy.

I'm not a big fan of Kahlua, but I still really enjoyed this cake. The chocolate flavor is strong enough to balance out the Kahlua.

I had some trouble finding Kahlua at my local grocery store. I ended up using coffee liqueur instead, and it worked out just fine.

This cake is a little too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.
