Garlic Cheese Muffins image

I swear by garlic, I love garlic in just about everything, wish I could find a good garlic dessert recipe, lol. My family is big into bread, and we have some kind of home made bread 4-6 times a week, biscuits, cornbread, rolls, Soda bread, breadsticks, garlic bread or garlic knots. But this one is a favorite cause it is a lot...

1/2 tsp garlic powder
12 oz grated cheese (3 cups)
1 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Prepare pan by greasing or buttering muffin pan or using cupcake liners.
  • 2. Muffins: Whisk dry ingredients. Then stir in cheese. In a second bowl whisk egg and milk and add to dry ingredients and then stir in melted butter.
  • 3. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
  • 4. While muffins are bakingm combine butter topping ingredients. Brush muffins with the butter topping as soon as they come out of the oven.
  • 5. Notes: I use Mortons Natures seasoning instead of plain salt cause it adds more flavor but salt is just fine.

I'm not a big fan of garlic, but I still enjoyed these muffins. The cheese and mashed potatoes really balance out the garlic flavor.
