Ginger Liqueur image

Ginger liqueur is also known as 'ginger brandy.' Some drinks that contain ginger are: Ginger Julep, Ginger Martini, Hot Ginger Toddy, La Coloniale, Manhattan Love Story, Orient Express, Tuscan Pear, and Winter Cocktail.

2 ounces fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
1 ½ cups water
½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 ½ cups brandy
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Blend ginger and water together in a blender until smooth.
  • Strain orange juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl. Stir ginger-water mixture, brandy, sugar, and vanilla into the orange juice until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Refrigerate until cold, at least 20 minutes.
