Golden Chocolate Chip Cookies image

These use only 1/2 cup butter.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 ⅛ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup white sugar
¼ cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup butter, softened
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F ( 190 degrees C).
  • Sift together in a large bowl flour, baking soda and salt. To this add sugars, egg, vanilla extract and butter. Beat until smooth and well blended. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden colored. Cool on wire rack.
