Had a salad similar to this one in a restaurant years ago. Came home and experimented and came up with this.

Steps:
- 1. Combine vinegar and syrup, gradually add oil, stirring with a wire whisk. Set dressing aside. Combine lettuce and onion and arrange on salad plates. Sprinkle with blue cheese and nuts, drizzle with dressing.
