This gumbo was too thick for my liking. I think I would have preferred a thinner consistency.

This gumbo was a bit bland for my taste. I think next time I'll add some more spices.

I'm from New Orleans and I can tell you this gumbo is not authentic. The roux was too dark and the holy trinity was not cooked properly. I would not recommend this recipe.

I'm a vegetarian so I made this gumbo without the chicken and sausage. It was still really good! I added some extra vegetables and tofu.

This gumbo was a little too spicy for me, but my husband loved it. I think next time I'll use less cayenne pepper.

I'm not a big fan of gumbo, but I tried this recipe and was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were well-balanced and the chicken was tender. I would definitely make this again.

This gumbo recipe was a hit at my Mardi Gras party! I doubled the recipe and it fed 20 people with leftovers. The flavors were rich and complex, and the chicken and sausage were cooked to perfection. I will definitely be making this again.
