- Cream together the sugar and shortening.
- Beat in egg and add vanilla extract and milk.
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Add the wet mixture to dry mixture alternatly to cream mixture.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
- Bake 20 minutes.
