Korean Marinade image

I used this marinade on chicken thighs marinated it overnight then baked it in the marinade. Juicy flavorful chicken with a kick

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 c grated onion
6 clove garlic minced
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1/2 c green onions white and light green parts only
1 asian pear peeled and grated
6 Tbsp soy sauce
1/4 c each saki and mirin
2 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
1/3 c sugar
1 Tbsp gochujang
1 Tbsp fish sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Add oil to sauce pan and add the onion, garlic, ginger, green onions and pear and saute until softened.
  • 2. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Let come to room temperature.
  • 3. Puree in food processor until smoothened. Use the marinade on any meat or seafood.

This marinade is a bit too spicy for my taste, but it's still really good. I would recommend using less gochujang if you don't like spicy food.
